How to Prepare for the 'Polar Vortex'

  • DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR COLD WEATHER

If you are going outside during this artic blast, you'll want to make sure that you bundle up!  Pile on multiple layers of clothes and be sure to wear gloves and a scarf, as you can run the risk of frostbite in as little as 15-30 minutes - most commonly located on the nose, fingers, cheeks and chin.

Walthill Public Library Hours

When:   Tuesdays / Thursdays

Hours:   12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. by appt. only

  • 4 people maximum
  • Each person will be given an hour
  • Masks required
  • Social distance
  • Sanitization will be done after each use of computers

Appointments can be set up during library hours by calling Nola Briggs at (402) 846-5051 or stop in person.

Ordinance No. 2021-1: Dog Impoundment

The ordinance posted below regarding dog impoundment was approved by the Village Board of Trustees at the January 6, 2021 regular board meeting.

Please know two things:

1)  The Village already has ordinances in place regarding dog impoundment and are presently in effect with this recent passage making changes to what we currently have.

2)  The changes will become effective Friday January 22, 2021.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Walthill, Nebraska, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday January 11, 2021, at the Village Office, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Office.
