On behalf of the Village of Walthill, we want to take this time to congratulate the Winnebago Lady Indians Basketball team on an amazing season! The Lady Indians earned 4th place in the Class C-1 NSAA State Basketball Tournament.
We are all proud of you!!

Congratulations to the Walthill Blujays, who are heading to the 2021 NSAA State Boys Basketball Championships (Nebraska) - Class D1 Tournament. They defeated Elm Creek 64 - 54 in the District Final Saturday February 27, 2021.
Walthill Bluays will be playing Howells-Dodge on Wednesday, March 10th at 1:30 p.m. - Lincoln Southeast.
This meeting has been post poned to Monday March 8, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. due to a lack of a board quorum.

UPDATE TO TODAY'S EVENT: NPPD is a member of the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), which is a regional transmission organization that ensures reliable supplies of electricity across its 14-state footprint.
SPP's service area unexpectedly lost some generating units earlier today, which caused them to declare an energy emergency. SPP directed power utilities in 14 states to share in an effort to shed load (interrupt service to customers) due to lack of electricity to meet demand because of the cold temperatures.

Columbus, Neb. - Wholesale and retail customers of Nebraska Public Power District are being asked to take steps to conserve energy use due to current and future low temperatures that are affecting the state and midwestern portion of the country.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Walthill, Nebraska, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 16, 2021, at the Village Office, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Office.
The Villge of Walthill is still taking Letters of Intent for the new business incubator located on Main Street. If you're interested in renting one of the four installments, please submit a Letter of Intent to the Walthill Village Office no later than Friday February 12, 2021, which will then be submitted with the business incubator grant application.
