HCI - 5 Week Series on Entrepreneurship Training

Ho-Chunk Community Capital, Inc. in collaboration with Wake Forest University School of Law and the Briar Cliff University Enactus Club will offer a 5-week series on Entrepreneurship Training.

What:    Entrepreneurship Training

Who:     Residents of Thurston County, Dakota County and surrounding areas

Where:  Virtual or in-person at HCCC, 509 Ho Chunk Plaza North, Winnebago, NE 68071

When:    Starting March 24 thru April 21, 2021 - Wednesdays from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Power Interruptions Possible Due to Cold Weather

UPDATE TO TODAY'S EVENT:  NPPD is a member of the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), which is a regional transmission organization that ensures reliable supplies of electricity across its 14-state footprint.

SPP's service area unexpectedly lost some generating units earlier today, which caused them to declare an energy emergency.  SPP directed power utilities in 14 states to share in an effort to shed load (interrupt service to customers) due to lack of electricity to meet demand because of the cold temperatures.

Fill Out A Letter of Intent For A Chance to Have Your Small Business Located In The Walthill Business Incubator

The Villge of Walthill is still taking Letters of Intent for the new business incubator located on Main Street.  If you're interested in renting one of the four installments, please submit a Letter of Intent to the Walthill Village Office no later than Friday February 12, 2021, which will then be submitted with the business incubator grant application.

If you are going outside during this artic blast, you'll want to make sure that you bundle up!  Pile on multiple layers of clothes and be sure to wear gloves and a scarf, as you can run the risk of frostbite in as little as 15-30 minutes - most commonly located on the nose, fingers, cheeks and chin.
