Closing of Park and Recreation Assets in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
The Village of Walthill is temporarily closing the public playground, baseball field and basketball court for public use in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Re-opening will be determined at a late date.

Deferment of Utility Shutoffs
The Village Board of Trustees held a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday March 31, 2020, and moved to defer utility shutoffs until June 5, 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Residents are encouraged to still pay on their utility bills as they're able to.
By June 5, 2020, past due utility accounts must be brought current!
Spring Town Clean-Up Has Been Rescheduled!
Due to COVID-19, Spring Town Clean-Up has been rescheduled for April 27t
Community Resources During Covid-19
United way of Siouxland is meeting regularly with local service providers to determine local needs and ways for people to help.
As of Mid-March, here are food services being provided:
- Food Bank of Siouxland
- Sioux City Community School District
- South Sioux City School District
Mental Health Services:
Only Flush Toilet Paper - No Other Items
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, wastewater plant officials are reporting increased clogged pipes as a result of citizens flushing items such as paper towels and disposable wipes down the drain.

With recent announcements concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Village Board of Walthill would like to encourage each of our community members to do their part in minimizing or eliminating any threat of a village outbreak.
Full-Time Police Officer Wanted
The Village of Walthill, Nebraska is located within the County of Thurston, Nebraska, and within the boundaries of the Omaha Indian Reservation and is now accepting applications for the position of one full-time Police Officer. The schedule for this position will consist mainly of nights and weekends.
