The Village of Walthill, Nebraska is located within the County of Thurston, Nebraska, and within the boundaries of the Omaha Indian Reservation and is now accepting applications for the position of one full-time Police Officer.  The schedule for this position will consist mainly of nights and weekends.

Qualifications:  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and be in good physical condition.  Vision must be correctable to 20/20 in each eye, with normal hearing in each ear.  Applicant must be of sound mental condition, good moral character, able to build trust, and establish and maintain positive community relationships.  Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record, no felony convictions, certain misdemeanor convictions or convictions involving moral turpitude.  A thorough background investigation will be conducted.  Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Nebraska State Certification or Federal Law Enforcement Certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation:  Salary will commensurate with experience.  Benefit package may include uniforms, health insurance, sick leave, paid vacation and more.
