JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Village Clerk
The Village of Walthill, Nebraska, is accepting applications for the position of a Village Clerk. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining official Municipal records; responsible for communication and interpretation of policies and procedures; preparing and maintaining utility billing records; assists in the collection of utility bills; performing a variety of office duties and other duties as may be required by law and Village ordinance.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Good oral and written communication skills required to effectively communicate on a daily basis with elected and appointed officials, Village employees and the public; high degree of organization skills required to effectively administer Village programs; ability to learn and interpret rules, regulations, laws and ordinances; good supervisory skills; ability to be bonded. Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office, internet/web and data entry; ability to carry out arithmetic procedures. Good customer service; ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; ability to work more than forty (40) hours per week; ability to type form copy at a rate of forty (40) wpm.
Compensation: Salary is based on qualifications.
