The Village of Walthill provides the following services: electric, water, sewer, garbage pick-up and other monthly fees including animal control, miscellaneous and economic development.
Meters measure monthly usage for electricity, water and sewer charges to be billed. Meters are read approximately the 21st of the month. Utility bills are mailed prior to the 31st of the month and due by the 15th of the following month.* Penalties are assessed on the remaining account balance and notification is mailed on the 16th of the month informing customers of the balance owed and the final due date. Penalties are only alleviated if the amount due is paid in full by the due date - payment guarantees don't alleviate the late fee. Accounts left with unpaid balances will be disconnected. Written payment guarantees from assistance programs for the amount past due will alleviate disconnection. Assessed penalties is 15% May thru November and 5% December thru April.
Acceptable Payments
The Walthill Village Office accepts cash, money orders, personal checks, checks from other financial institutions and debit/credit cards. Payments can be made in person, by mail, online (Payport) or dropped in the office drop box located by the front door.
If a debit or credit card or an electronic check is used, an additional fee is applied to the person's financial account:
- Credit Card - 2.49% of amount paid
- Debit Card - $2.95 flat fee
- Electronic Check - $1.75 flat fee

*GR – King’s Disposal is contracted by the Village to pick up trash on Wednesday’s - trash needs to be on the curb by 7:00 a.m.
*MISC – Town clean-up (twice a year), emergency situations, summer maintenance.
*AC – Annual animal control facility license, facility maintenance, dog food.
*ED – Economic development activities.
