Declaration of April 2026 as Fair Housing Month

RESOLUTION NO. 2026-3

A RESOLUTION DECLARING APRIL 2026 AS FAIR HOUSING MONTH AND REAFFIRMING SUPPORT OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT.

          WHEREAS, the Village of Walthill is committed to ensuring equal housing opportunity for all persons; and

          WHEREAS, the federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing based on race color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin; and

            WHEREAS, the Village of Walthill supports the principles of fair housing and equal opportunity;

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Chairperson and Board of Trustees of the Village of Walthill, Nebraska, that:

  1. April 2026 is hereby declared Fair Housing Month in the Village of Walthill;
  2. The Village reaffirms its support of the Fair Housing Act and its commitment to fair housing practices; and
  3. KayCe Henneman (Village Clerk) is hereby designated as the Fair Housing Contact Person for the Village of Walthill.
  4. The Village will publish Fair Housing information in a public medium, such as the Village’s official Facebook page and website. 

            PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 4th day of March, 2026.
